Default I got scammed using a company
    Hi All,

I am new to the forum, and have previously had a bad experience with a certain data recovery company when trying to recover my iphone which I did not back up before using jailbreak either >< I have looked for many outlets to rage about my experience. I do not know where this would go on these forums but this seems the right spot, but many people that may need or have used a data recovery company for their Iphone use these forums and I am trying to make sure no one makes the same mistakes I did. Regardless I did find one website, http://www.datarecoverycomparison.com that let me rant and rave about the company that I had my data recovery experience with and also let me rate them. If anyone that sees this has had a bad experience (as I am sure I am not the only one that is out the couple of hundred bucks that I spent on my Iphone) please visit this site (also if you know of any good data recovery companies that may recover the Iphone please post on this forum as I am currently looking for a company that can fix the mistakes these idiots made). If enough people complain about a single corrupt company (that claims they can recover Iphone data but really just mess up your whole phone) we can help put it out of business.

    Thanks

First, see if SSH works from the Ziphone installation. I don't quite know that error but I'm guessing it won't.

    Second, have you tried iPHUC?

Sorry if neither of these work...

I have used Stellar Phoenix photo recovery software to recover all my lost data from my digital camera. The good thing about this software is that that they are providing free demo version in which you can scan and see the preview of your recoverable file.If you get desired results then go for full version to recover your data.

Make sure that you check this site (datarecoverycomparison.com) out thoroughly before you believe a word that is said about any of the companies listed there. It appears that it is owned by a data recovery company that is just engaging in liable and defamatory statements so that honest hard working data recovery companies look bad. If you look at this website you will notice that there is no real way to contact them if your company has been wrongly bashed by one of their so called reviewers. The site is a total scam and has been created for the soul purpose of bashing other data recovery companies. Like everything on the internet don’t believe everything you read.

If you really want to know if a company is capable and legitimate ask some questions about your data recovery situation. If they know what they are doing they will be able to give you information about what is wrong with your drive, how much it will cost to recover the data, and how long it will take to get your data back to you.

It's really to bad because the concept of this website is good it is just totally bias because a data recovery company owns it and is using it to make other companies look bad.

Beware of 3rd party data recovery on the iPhone... There are no trusted sources yet. iPhone forensics that were demoed by Jonathan never saw the light of day for some reason..
Search Google for "Custom Firmware 3.1.2" if you don't have a Mac and are using Windows!

    Default Steps:
    Hi,

Abstain from copying more files onto your iPod and iPhone when you think you have lost files. You need to run a scan to see whether your files are still there so you can recover them.

Download a program that is capable of searching the files on the hard drive of your iPod and iPhone. These programs are available for free on the Internet (see Resources). Once such program is recover4All Pro v2.26.

Allow the program to run so that it can scan and recover all of your files. This can take up to 3 hours because it scans the entire hard drive of the iPod and iPhone.

Connect your iPod or iPhone to the computer you usually use to sync them if the above method does not work.

Hit the Summery tab in iTunes, and click Restore.

Select, when requested, the option that offers to restore your previous settings. Because your files will be backed up on your computer, your data should be restored.

I hope it will help you

    Thanks
