Default App store icons are too small
I am trying to make a theme but even though I am using the exact same icon for all the apps i cant understand why some of them are appearing slightly smaller than others, is there a file somewhere that tells the phone how big to make the icons?

What size are you making them?

    They should be:

    118x120 for native apps

    114x114 for App Store apps

To install the Widget-Weather app, just go to Cydia and install. This will also remove MyLocation, as it is built in!

I have been making them all 114x114, the native app icons are the ones that i am happy with, its the app store icons that are coming out smaller.

    114x114 for App Store apps

This is correct. Native apps (system apps) are a different size than App Store apps (user apps). I had this same issue when theming iOS 5. I got all my apps to be the same size by creating custom icons using Photoshop and uploading those images to my theme's folder via iFunBox. Here is how I did it.

    For Native Apps:
    1) Download or create the .png image you want to use as your icon.
    2) Resize the icon image to 114x114. Select the entire layer (ctrl + A) and copy it (ctrl + C).
    3) Create a new Photoshop document that is 118x120.
    4) Select the entire layer (ctrl + A), then paste (ctrl + V) the 114x114 image into the 118x120 canvas. Doing it this way ensures you images are centered.
    5) Save the new image with the appropriate name.

What this does is puts a 114x114 image in side a background (which is transparent) that is 118x120. You will have 2px on either side of 114x114 image (2+2+114=118) AND 3px on top and bottom of the 114x114 image (3+3+114=120) since it's centered.

    For App Store Apps:
    1) Download or create the .png image you want to use as your icon.
    2) Resize the icon image to 114x114.
    3) Save the new image with the appropriate name.

Essentially, all your icons will be 114x114. The Native apps will be 114x114 images on 118x120 backgrounds while App Store apps will be 114x114 images on 114x114 backgrounds. Get it?

That way all your icons are the same size and are recognizable by your iDevice.

I'm new to this and I'm looking forward to creating a theme. I started looking and taking pictures of all kinds of icons and saving them in a file on my desktop. I can't find ifunbox in iTunes. Can someone help me? Thanx

iTunes and iFunbox are not connected in anyway.

IFunbox you need to download off the net as a host client. It functions the same way as iTunes as in you plug it into ur device but that's about it.

Once you have installed iFunbox then either hit the Start menu if on PC then iFunbox.

Then you can navigate thru your iDevice as need be.

See if that works for u
