Glasklart HD icon making trouble

Here's the situation: I got Glasklart HD for my iPod touch and I wanted to make some icons to make it perfect. I downloaded an icon template from the Internet and when I made the icon it was slightly darker than the rest and it wasn't for retina displays.

So I was wondering if anyone has the time to write a good tutorial for me on this topic (or if there's already one, link me to it.)

Looks like my icons are 59x62, and I think the retina icons are 118x120?
