Silly question time
First thread too
Is there a way to put folders inside Winterboard, for example, lockscreen, full themes etc ?
Atm my Winterboard theme list is chaotic!
Thanks.

Nope, But you can extract all the bits you want and merge it all to make one full theme to make it more tidy.

I do not understand what you are saying in the last paragraph.
Do you mean if i create a folder called 'full themes.theme' and put all the full themes in there, and a folder called 'lockscreens.theme' into the said directory, then those foldernames will appear in Winterboard and i can browse through the contents inside
Forgive my confusion with this. I only did my first jb last week!

In WinterBoard you cant rightclick.
what shows in WinterBoard you can either set to "show" or "hide" theere is no visible file structure on the WinterBoard Themes List.
Like i said i the other post you can put all the ones you like to keep together ie..
you might have a good lockscreen and dock that goes well with the no page icon dots and new text and a load of pink icons (black.theme)
But somtimes you want the theme with a cooler ringtones and a different lockscreen and dock but keep the dots on the springboard and have the Blue icons (white.theme)Code:- Black.theme - Bundles - com.apple.chatkit Baloon_1.png Baloon_2.png - com.apple.TelephonyUI bottombarknobgray.png bottombarknobgreen.png bottombarknobred.png - Icons App Store.png Cydia.png Dock.png Info.plist LockBackground.png Wallpaper.png
and in WinterBoard you would only have:Code:- Black.theme - Bundles - com.apple.chatkit Baloon_1.png Baloon_2.png - com.apple.TelephonyUI bottombarknobgray.png bottombarknobgreen.png bottombarknobred.png - Icons App Store.png Cydia.png - UISounds sms-received1.caf Dock.png Info.plist LockBackground.png Wallpaper.png
Instead of:Code:Black White No Dock Names ..Default ones you cant remove.. Solid Status Bar ..Default ones you cant remove.. Server Lock Example ..Default ones you cant remove..
Code:No Page Dots Cool Lock Screen Cooler Lockscreen Pick Carrier logo Red Carrier logo Yellow Wallpaper Green Wallpaper Rainbow Icons Carbon Icons No Dock Names ..Default ones you cant remove.. Solid Status Bar ..Default ones you cant remove.. Server Lock Example ..Default ones you cant remove..
So you can tidy it up but you will be stuck with whole themes and not loads of parts that you put together.
I also this this will help with battery as its only loading 1 .theme folder and not say 6 .theme folders, but dont quote me on that bit because i am only guessing
Hope you understand

WinterBoard and File Editing-Basics
I wonder if this was obvious for a beginner ?
In WinterBoard you SEE your downloaded themes list.
It's ok when there are many (some of them are preinstalled).
Move all the themes you never use to the bottom of the list (by the right side symbol), and click them off.
There is a hierarchic order in the list from top to bottom.
For example, if you have a complete Theme activated but you would prefer it with a different battery theme, grab your battery theme by the right side symbol and drag and activate it on top of the other one, it will be "stronger".
You see the interest ?
Later on, when you'll have created (or mixed)a theme you entirely fancy, you might want to gather the parts in a folder called, let's see, chs170.theme
.
This does not happen in WinterBoard :
Winterboard is just for showing or hiding existing graphical elements which are files and folders.
To ACCEED these and MAKE CHANGINGS, download iFile from Cydia.
Open iFile : you can now navigate in the iPhone like in the explorer of your computer system.
(there are other possibilities for this - from your computer - but let's start by this way).
From the main level of your root folder (you'll have "/ " on top of the folders' list) navigate to private/var/stash/Themes/ which contain the Winterboard themes.
Open them and get familiarized with the files&folders inside to understand what is where (you can show the images in iFile, too).
I do not agree with F4ITH's technics putting a single FILE (example : file.png) in between the folders. It works, but it's not clean programmation, bad habits from te start.
I've posted some examples like this one [HELP] How to change lockscreen background through Winterboard? (post #9 to #10) which might be one of your next questions anyway ^^
Hope I've put you on the way...?
