It Worked, It Don't Work ??

hi there.. i have a 2g, 3.0 firmware. the phone was already jailbroke, with cydia and winterboard running.. i played around, dl some themes and the phone took them fine... then i unlocked the phone and put in my sim card.. no probs at all there.. but now my winterboard themes will not take.. they show up under cydia and also under winterboard.. i removed then reinstalled a couple of them to see if this would fix.. any suggestions?? should i unstall winterboard and all the themes?? and if so, what is the best way?? thanks so much..

I have a similar issue... I cannot get a keyboard theme to work for the life of me... some SMS themes don't work and some do and complete themes are fine, but I've tried a few keyboard themes from Cydia and nothing installs...

^^ are you selecting (check mark) the theme in WinterBoard?

^keyboards do not work on firmware 3.0 or highr

Keyboard themes don't really work past firmware 3.0 if I remember correctly. You can't use WinterBoard, but you can if you use iAccess. You'll have to poke around for some more info on it though.

^^ Didn't know that... I have 3.0.1 so I guess that's why it's not working...

and Apple changed the name of the SMS app in 3.1 to Messeges (or something like that ... I haven't gone to 3.1 yet), but that's why some of the SMS themes don't work properly. If you do a search you'll find what to do to fix them.
