I'm not sure if this is the right place for this so sorry if its put of place

I tried editing the text strings in my Springboard.Strings file with notepad (im running windows vista btw) and it showed up as the strings mixed in with tons of strange symbols and was unreadable
I had done this before but it looked similar to an XML document and was easy to change the txt strings (like the "slide to unlock" text)
can someone tell me how to do this properly?

go there and download pledit (#4 in winterboard tools). it let u read and edit the .string and .plist files (assuming ur on a pc)
