Lost charge indicator when using animated lockscreen

I've done a search through several forums to find a solution to this problem and wasn't able to find anything. Perhaps I missed something.

I am using an HTML page with a script to present rotating wallpapers on my lockscreen. I was wondering if there is a way to kill this when the phone is plugged in so users can see the battery charging screen I made.
