okay i dont know where to start. okay so i just got the iphone 3G and it has been jailbroken. i have gotten the Cydia app as well as the installer app. i found a theme i really like in Cydia but when i try to download it, halfway thru the download i get a MD5Sum mismatch code. what does that mean? and how can i get the theme?

First off rejailbreak and remove installer. As for the theme, try restarting the phone and try downloading again.

No need to go through the entire process of restoring and re-jailbreaking, lol.... especially since Quickpwn (he's on Vista) doesn't give you the option to only install Cydia (@mr. sparky). I get the mismatch sometimes too.. .just reopen Cydia and try to download it agian.. sometimes it's a server issue. If it still doesn't work try other themes to see if they work. If NOTHING works you have a problem.. if just the one theme doesn't work it's not your problem.. it's theirs.

I'm just not a fan of installer. LOL.

There is a group of kids I know I jb all there phone for them and the two I put installer on I had to go and fix it because of some RipDev app they installed. The way I see it no installer=no headache. But that's just my .02

With Pwnage Tool you have the option to build it the way you want it... if you only have Windows and no friends with a Mac you're stuck with what you get. I agree with you but you have to give advice based on the information shown.

Quickpwn for windows gives you the option cydia and or installer unlock and custom boot logos.
