Tested this on winterboard yet?
i have seen many themes out there that have rotating background pictures BEHIND the icons on springboard and also on lockscreen. usually between 6-24 pictures for things like picture an hour or whatever...
Now if we are able to make winterboard load up a different image on a background thats supposed to be black(springboard) what's stopping us from loading up different images on icons aka to make it "animated"?
Now u cant tell me its the springboard refresh thats stopping you because appstore and cydia(except very rarely) Dont respring when adding apps and their icons to the springboard so whats stopping us doing a appstore app update kinda thing to the icons, say every 10 seconds we'll start off with, to make the icon seem animated.Being an i can be a lot of pressure. you have to live right up to the small point.

I've thought about screwin with it....but it wouldnt be worth it really...
You would have to write an html script for EACH icon, and then have how ever many images for the animation (I would say 5-10) for EACH icon.....
That would be alot of work.....if it would work correctly.

well yh i thought it might need a bit of effort put into it but if anyone could start me off with a basic setup that works...
I would do it my self but dont kno how to do the rotating background thing. :S
but if someone like made the code that would supposedly work and give me the general jist of where to put it i'll see if i can do it my self.
thanx for reply so quickly anyway =]Being an i can be a lot of pressure. you have to live right up to the small point.

Well, here is a basic script for rotating background images.
If you open it in Wordpad, take a look you'll see places for the image files...you can add as many/few as you need.
Also, there is an area for the rotation of the images (ie. sequence speed), can change that to rotate faster to give a "animated" look possibly. Aside from that, the filename itself would need changing but thats about it.
