Transparent Dock W/O Winterboard?
Winterboard, even with just a wallpaper chnage and the transparent dock is really slowing down my phone. Is there a way to have a transparent dock without winterboard... ?
Thanks!

Rename this file to SBDockBG.png and place in
System\Library\CoreServices\SpringBoard.app

Thanks!
Do i need to remove any the original file or just leave it? Thanks a ton!
Winterboard was really slowing me down!
Also... I can't ssh in from work... can I do this using iphonebrowser?
Thanks
ok nevermind I got that figured out.
The dock is totally white... is there a way and add a wallpaper or something in order to achieve a transparent dock like i would with winterboard, one which the wall paper shows through?
Thanks.Last edited by DrewN209; 10-27-2008 at 10:50 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

This is my first post here, but I saw this thread on Google. I downloaded both of the SBDockBG.png images above but none worked well. One was solid black which didn't work with a background and the other was white which obviously wasn't right. So I just opened the black one and deleted the background in Photoshop and created a truly transparent one. I just wanted to help anyone who may be looking for a better solution to work with a background.

I have an iPhone 3gs and no matter what theme I use including "transparant dock" the stock dock is always used....
I'm on firmware 3.1.2 and when I was on 3.0 I could change the dock to whatever I wanted.
Please help if you know what's wrong.
