WinterBoard how to deal with Appstore icons?

I know there's an issue with the appstore icons, I just don't understand how to get it right. I convert and save the stock appstore icons, then when I use them in a theme they still end up flat and square (not all of them though which is quite confusing). But, if I don't include those icons in a theme then the springboard makes the conversion itself and the corners are rounded off. In the end this is what I want.
Could this be fixed by using the ComposeStoreIcons key? And if so, what is the correct syntax?

there are 3 pngs located in the other.artwork file, The one called "AppIconMask.png" is the one that adds the rounded corners to all appstore icons.

they are called AppIconMask.png, AppIconOverlay.png, AppIconShadow.png



if you are using winterboard you can change the app store icon to anything you want.

is there any easy way to disable AppIconMask.png, AppIconOverlay.png, AppIconShadow.png via winterboard?
i mean such we do to disable the statusbar etc?
