Custom Ringtones not playing? Defaults vs. Customs

Ok. I just deleted EVERY default ringtone i have. The only one left was Marimba, but I didn't want it either. I downloaded iPhone Ringtone Maker to put some customs on my phone, so I did. I made about 50 ringtones and imported all of them...

I was setting ringtones for me and all of my friends to ring respectively to who called. Sometimes it worked, and the ringtone responded to the caller, but sometimes the default ringtone would just ring.

This pisses me off, because if the default ringer goes off, I cant tell who is calling, and it is much less convenient. Does anyone know why the default overpowers the custom like this?

I too am having this problem....what gives tech guys...??? Sometimes they work and sometimes they don't.
