    Default Skinning for PCs 102
Here you go guys. I finished it up. Sorry for the image.. But i wanted to keep the "other sites" from jacking it. This site has helped me so much.
Ok here’s the PC Windows Version of Skinning your Iphone with the LoringStudios Icons. Or whatever else you conjure up =) The Loring Icons I made are posted here LoringStudiosIcons

You must have completed Jailbreak to do this. See other treads.
Be sure to get the Original Services.plist here Here Unzip and copy the Services.plist to your phonedmg folder for future use.

I would save this image to your computer for future reference! That will make it easy for you

    sort of repetitive but good!

Why do we need to put the Servces.plist back on the phone?? Even without putting it back - I can sync with iTunes and do all other stuff as usual ... Any special signifficance?

  5. #4
Nah.. If you have already done it in the past you dont have to do it everytime. Just good to add. Never hurts!

Awesome guide, Loring. Glad to have you here. Here's a mirror for the Services.plist file, the reason to put it back on is some people are getting random issues like capacity in iTunes showing up as 300 MB, unable to add files after a few times of not adding it back, etc.

It looks great, but boy was that really boring and repetitive...cmd and the iphone have something in common. They both need copy/paste!

  9. #7
Cool. Thanks Poetic. I adjusted the link for the mirror to match =)

Did you type all of that out? You can paste in cmd you just have to rightclick and you have to have iphoneinterface runing through cmd.

Damn thats sucks. Yea I typed it all out but won't be doing that ever again. Cmd doesnt have any menus and i never thought to right click.

ModMyMoto.com/wiki. Main page right now has all the important links. You can click "All Pages" to see other stuff, but the important ones are on the main page.

http://www.modmyi.com/wiki/index.php...directory_list is the link you were looking for.

When you upped the icons, did you up them using putfile filename, or putfile path/to/your/filename?

    putfile filename

while in the directory where it was to go, though.

  22. #19
write out the path like in poetics post

Some people say you dont have to restart your phone. I dunno. Everytime I havent restarted it it has not worked.
On another note. I think the first time I did the icons it was on a freshly restored phone. Although I cant say that is a factor because now I have ringtones.. menus. icons. sounds etc. And I can still go in and change icons at will.
Im not sure what could have gone wrong we have had such good response.
Keep at it. Its new to all of us!

Note.. I didnt see page 2... For some reason it dont work if you putfile in the directory where the file goes. Follow the instructions exact. You must do it all from the phonedmg prompt. dont go to the directory then "putfile"
