Help! Iphone Repair Needed No Serivice

hello, I wonder if you would be able to help me out..

my friend just jailbreaked his iphone only with ziphone , he is running 1.1.3 i believe and when he woke up this morning he said it had a message saying it needed repaired and he has no service at all...

any help would be greatly appreciated since he doesnt have a phone to use.. thanks

Best thing to do is open ziphone.. force the phone into DFU restore mode with the advanced features (or do it manually) and then restore to 1.1.4 and then re-jailbreak.

i tried to restore it in itunes then it said error occured could not be restored

Does it give you a specific error code? 1501? 1602? ect....

One of the Mods on another thread suggested uninstalling iTunes, download and install a fresh updated version. Restart the computer and try restoring again.

now its all messed up.. my friend hit refurbish and then it wouldnt load anymore so he cancelled the process now when u turn the phone on. it just scrolls down the screen with all the white text and ziphone or ituned wont recognize it..

what can be done? HELP!!!

OK DONT PANIC!

my phone did this one time and this is what worked for me:

1. Turn ur fone off
2. Turn it on while holding down the home button for a few seconds or so...
3. After a few seconds plug it up to ur computer and it SHOULD be in restore mode, if not try again, no matter what u do to ur phone, restore mode should always work, ive never seen a case where it didnt...
4. After that, click refurbish, let it run its course, if it takes longer than 20 min somethings wrong...
5. IF it worked, and im sure it should, restore ur firmware back to where it was, if it doesnt work let me know...
6. It should be okay. Like i said if it doesnt work, let me know and ill work with u

You see, if you had read the above posts, you'd see that Restore mode indeed did not work.

Can you still get it into restore mode by pressing and hold power and home? If you can, I recommend putting it into DFU mode manually by pressing and holding Power and Home for EXACTLY 10 seconds (use a stopwatch if you really have to), then let go of Power so its only Home being held down. Continue holding until iTunes recognizes it. Screen will be blank; that's normal.

thats what i said.. i meant dfu but i typed restore

I used ziphone 2.5 to unlock my jailbroken otb1.1.2 iphone. it worked fine unlocking it but, wifi and bluetooth is not working. it says no wifi and bluetooth unavailable.
Is there any solution to this?

Yes, I know he already did DFU, but this time, its on a different firmware (if one exists) and it might change. I know I had to do DFU TWICE.

when i plug it into the comp itunes and ziphone does not recognize it .. just the white texts keeps scrolling down the phone

put it in dfu mode NOT RESTORE MODE! and run refurbish from the ziphone menu

Hmmm, something tells me that your bootloader, possibly the core of the firmware, is screwed up badly. I dunno, just a guess.
