That's the worst case scenario right now, running a firmware update on an unlocked iphone.

Move to today... Girlfriend wants to run update, me forgets that i did the unlock hack on the modem and...... yep, bricked. Just a message about an unkown sim is installed and you CANNOT connect to it in itunes, not even recovery mode works (but emergency still does in case you care)
Any ideas? Anyone?

What unlock did you use? Everyone else that unlocked just said it returned the phone to a locked state.

It was the dev wiki team's version? is this because i swapped out the sims? do i need to put my sim back in?

I read another post where someone did put the original sim into the phone and it restored. Give it a shot. Good luck
