Stuck in DFU loop

Ever since I tried to downgrade to 3.1.3 from the 4.0b1 release, I have been stuck in DFU mode. I cannot downgrade to any firmware.

I tried iRecovery, but it didn't detect my device.

I heard that programs like blackra1n can get you out (accidentally ran it in 3.1.3 and it gave a black screen). But blackra1n crashes when I click make it ra1n and redsn0w is mac only.

I only want a functional iPod
