Need bluetooth driver

when I try to pair my iphone with my PC i get an error:

device driver was not successfully installed

does anyone know where to find the driver or a way to fix this?

You can't pair the iphone to a computer. Only headsets,earpieces and with some apps other iphones.

then how does the tethering work?

I connect via USB, but I guess you are supposed to be able to connect via bluetooth post 3.0.
But, I don't know of any driver.

I tether via a wifi adhoc connection using PDAnet. Haven't done it using bluetooth. I can connect to other phones with iBluetooth and transfer files(music, pics, vids etc).
