I know that the unlock software work on firmware 3.14 and my iTunes 7.4.2.4. What happens when Apple upgrade the iTune again, would that affect the unlock at all?

The unlock will be fine, just don't update the iPhone firmware.

What the heck is 3.14? Version pi?

That's the firmware version. You can check out your firmware version by going to Settings, General, About and scroll down until you see Modem Firmware.
