transfer files to the iphone help plz !

I would like to know if I can transfer some of my work files like in .zip, .rar ect. format to my iphone so I can take home with me then extract them to my computer I know it can be done from a ipod but don't know if it can be done from my iphone if it can be done can someone plz tell me how to do this or has someone already made an app that I can use that can do the whole process for me plz if someone can help me out I would be very apreciated cause I have to take some file home from work and I forgot my usb key and don't have any cd or dvds I can burn the info on thnks agian

There are a lot of add-on apps that can do this - iPhoneBrowser, iPhoneList, iBrickr. There is even a drive program to add it to Windows Explorer.

If you haven't done jailbreak, you can still add and remove files with the special programs and iTunes installed on the PC.
