This works great! I have never used veency before I saw it mentioned in this program, but I am loving it! Text messaging from my laptop is a lot better than doing it from the phone Thank you for this application.

Any word on iPhone 3.0 compatibility?

Details:

iPhone:

-iPhone OS 3.0
-Jailbroken
-Open SSH 5.2p1-8 installed
-Veency 09.2591-1 installed

PC:

-Windows XP Professional SP3
-Core 2 Duo 1.86ghz/2gb ram/80gb hdd
-TightVNC 1.3.10 installed

Notes:

-On iUSB, I run "iTunnel" which launches a cmd prompt.
-On iUSB, I launch "TightVNC" which brings up the TightVNC prompt.
-On TightVNC, I enter 127.0.0.1, and connect with automatic options.

The results are attached.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same issue. I was really hoping this would work when I upgraded. I don't know anything about socket errors though.

The Lockdown folder has moved. My Lockdown is now in CProgramData\Apple\Lockdown

I created a lockdown folder in the location it is looking for and copy/pasted the plist into it and now it connects and shows the iPhone on my screen...

But, my iPhone freezes up causing me to hard reboot it. I can't manipulate anything on the screen of my computer.

Ok I have it running on my screen and now it is actually showing what is going on. If I switch pages it switches pages...if I open an app it opens the app. I just can't do anything other than 1 mouse gesture and then it freezes up my phone again. This has to have something to do with Veency. I reinstalled the libraries, but it didn't help.

Looks like Veency has been updated, but I'm still getting the same error.

CC, how did you get past that?

A ha! I found my lockdown folder in "All Users", had to move it to my user folder. The update to Veency makes things work, although I'm surprised the VNC isn't a bit quicker with graphics and the what not considering its passing over USB...

I found a fix the gets it back up and running.

Goto CProgram Files\iUSB Tunnel\iTunnel\ and rename iTunesMobileDevice.dll to iTunesMobileDevice.dll.orig

Then goto CProgram Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\bin\ and copy iTunesMobileDevice.dll to CProgram Files\iUSB Tunnel\iTunnel\

That will get you back up and runing.

i could not run the itunnel.exe even after applying the fix .. once i clicked it, it shuts off again. Can it be due to the fact that i'm using windows 7?

Just to update. Looks like iUSB Tunnel now shows up as Malware for McAffee, my work's automated scanning deleted it.

Any way to fix that?

so, I had the same error trying to tunnel. I'm on windows. What I did to fix it was simple. I went to the apple lockdown directory under all users and found the plist file it was looking for was there! So I copied it and placed it into the folder it was looking for it before and boom, worked like a charm.

I am getting the same problem that my anti virus will delete it saying its recognized it as a trojan virus.
