    does anyone know where the firmeware software is stored in my computer?

    After you sync your iPHone with ur iTunes on to left panel you should see your iPhone, when you click on your iPhone there should be a place on screen with a button that says "Update" and a button that says restore.

    should be in this folder CDocuments and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\Apple\Apple Software Update
