adding installer.app i would use AppTapp
then once you have installer.app
you dont really need chmod, but if you want to change permissions use the app squid
for just transfering files, i would use ibrickrARTHURSDOMAIN

wihout wifi, installing apps using installer .app
man!
Saw your posts regarding installer.app and ibrickr so thought u may help!
I downloaded ibrickr and m able to install apps (PXL onse) using ibrickr, i have a iphone 1.0.2 (unlocked) and use a windows machine
Now, certain apps come as some XXX.app folder which are not recognizd by ibrickr,
I learnt that these are installed with installer.app, so i installed that using ibrickr, but that uses only wifi to install apps, how do i install my downloaded apps, the ones on my pc, using installer.app
please help man!

Do you have access to EDGE? If so you can use Installer.app.
To set permissions you can download Finder.app.
You can use iBrickr to install programs.

At this time i think the best option is to use IphoneExplorer..
It works over USB connection and has lot of possibilities to change what you really may need..
If anyone has more powerful tool under Windows let me know..
I.
