    yes, what is the lock term your using?

    new phone = unmodded
    jailbreaked phone = modded
    modded phone = ringtones, icons, etc. etc.
    iphone update = restore = unmodded
    restore = unmodded
    modded = good
    unmodded = bad

    hope that helps

    edit:hmm, i read that over and then you could say...
    bad = unmodded unmodded = new phone
    new phone = bad??

    huh go figure.

    i had it unlocked by a 3rd party...

    and yes they will use jail break. sorry i meant iphoneinterface...

    i was wondering if i were to add the ringtone mod will it relock my phone.

    i just want my own ringtones after i get my phone unlocked but don;t want to risk relocking it again.

    no... you can fully mod your phone i suggest installer.app,to be safe ,only restoreing or updateing will erase you unlock...you need to install over ssh to be safe....if you have windows use winscp,,,you want to stay away from any program that tells you hold power and homebutton ,.like ibrickr.so installer.app over winscp for modding,and iringtoner,to do simple rintones..veryeasytouse

    Use the Installer app download instructions from wiki they have one for windows now, that as long as your are jailbroken, nothing else to do but download and run the .exe on your PC.
