help::my reduced XP require iphone imaging driver

Hi I'm using a reduced version of XP on netbook. Now I can't connect iphone to get charging or take photos from it.
I don't want to install iTunes 8 on my netbook.
Can anyone help me what drivers files required from XP CD?

The drivers that are required for your computer to recognize the iphone are part of the Itunes installation.

AppleMobileDeviceService.exe

You may be able to find and run it as a standalone....but i've never tried it.

The phone should charge regardless of driver status.

I think you have another issue- maybe bad cable, charge port on the phone or bad usb port.


Ive never herd of xp having driver problems, usualy Vista....
and the drivers arent on the xp cd.... then need to updated via the web....

If anything goto the control panel and then device manager and find the iphone, right click properties and click update driver,
It should update driver via the web.

If all else fails, install itunes and then uninstall it.
Drivers will probably stay.

the cable is working properly to connect on my desktop. Since windows can't find iphone as camera, i can't charge nor take photos.
I've tried to copy drivers file that show on my desktop pc but still not working yet. I'll try your method to search driver when i can online again.

Maybe You need the SUB driver. The phone dose charge without iTunes.

ya, my normal xp can recognize as camera but not on basic XP version i'm using.
