WinSCP HELP!!!

ok, so I put installer.app on my phone, but it didnt work. I will research a little later to figure out how to get it to work, but right now I just want it off my phone. I got the new bin kit and downloaded it onto my computer. I used winRAR to extract it. Not sure if thats my problem here? I cant seem to find my old extracter now (ZIP).

From there I use WinSCP to move the binkit over to the /<root> section. I rename it "binkit" and it transfers. When I right click on it, there is no "permissions" tab to click on like the faq sections states here on modmyi.com. ANd when I try to delete the Installer.app, it still doesnt work. I get this in an error box:

"Command 'rm -f -r "Installer.app"'
failed with return code 127 and error message
-sh: line 54: rm: command not found."

WHat am I doing wrong?

Not familiar with WinSCP as I am an OS X guy, but there must be somewhere to set permissions...

Ok. A quick Google tells me there is a "set permissions" option under Upload. Simply type in the correct permissions. Here's two of the common ones used for this:

-rwxr-xr-x is 755 and
-rwxrwxrwx is 777.

Speaking of WinSC... it makes it really easy to mod my phone, way quicker than waiting on jailbreak to load. However, whenever I start WinSC with my phone I get this error message...

Command 'groups'
failed with return code 127 and error message
-sh: line 31: groups: command not found.

I can add (or overwrite) things to my phone fine but if I try to delete something (a ringtone, etc) I get another error code with the same 127 and it won't let me delete.

Have you installed SSH on your iPhone? Are you using the correct IP settings?

Instead of removing the app, right click on these three files((In WinSCP)), and in the "Octal" position, type 0777.

The three files((all located in the installer.app folder in the main applications folder)):

Ditto
Installer
Info.plist

Without the correct permissions set to the files, they won't be able to run on the iPhone.

Same problem, you can't delete unless you have the correct permissions set. Change the Octal in the files you want to delete to 0777. I believe that will allow you to delete those files. Correct me if I'm wrong.

EDIT: Check This Link to learn how to remove files.
