New Here, Please i need help

Hi Guys,

First, thanks for letting me be part of this forum.

Here is my question, I have a iPhone with soft ver 2.1 and Build ver 5F136, a friend told me that i can install on the iphone a software (icon named installer) and i'll be able to download applications without pay, i was searching in the forum but i'm complete lost, guys can you please put me on the right direction in how to do this?, is any guide how to do this?, i don't really want to unlocked my iphone, i just want to donwload some applications that i need but if i have to unlocked it will be fine, he (my friend) told me that with a software named "pwend" and "Liberty+" i can do this but i have not idea how to do it, i have XP SP2 on my PC and iTunes ver 8.

You can download a custom firmware from this site and install it using iTunes. Read this post: http://www.modmyi.com/forums/general...e-2-1-faq.html

If you have any other questions people will be glad to help.

And just so you know...Installer is really on the down slide as far as being functional and maintained. There is an alternative though and it is called Cydia. Most folks are using it as it is actively being updated.

And also, the "applications without pay" you speak of are NOT Apple appstore apps, these are apps created elsewhere.

Just for FYI...we dont allow warez.

Hi Guys,

After read all that i could i did it, i used Quickpwn to do it and was very straightforward, now i have cydia and installer on my iphone, after the installation they asked me for update and i did it, i haven't play with both of them much but i'll do it, i need to read more and them try them out.

I have a question, is any application on cydia or installer to be able to listen web radio on my iphone?, i like club 977 web radio station but i can't get it work, safari tells me that does not support that, i'll appreciate any help in this.

^You'll find that Cydia is what you'll use....Installer is kinda dead now. There are a couple internet radio apps around, but all the ones I can think of right now are located in the AppStore.
