Keyboard Shortcut Problem

Hello! I am having a problem, simple, but a problem none the less. I have a 2g, jailbroken, upgraded via the pwnage tool for windows, from 1.1.4 (jailbroken) > 2.1 (jailbroken). All went fine, no problems. I installed winterboard, and setup the keyboard to use the black macbook keyboard theme. After awhile, I didn't care for it, so I simply uninstalled the entire winterboard app through the phone. Now, my basic keyboard is not performing any shortcuts: auto spell-checking, double space bar tap for period. Mind you, these are all turned on in the General>Settings>Keyboard section. I believe that, when I uninstalled winterboard, it removed the items necessary for these shortcuts. I, however, have no idea what they may be. Short of performing a full restore, does anyone have any other suggestions to try? Is there a set of files I can simply drag over from a prior backup, or download? Doing a restore is fine, but if there's an easier way to fix this, I'd rather go that route. Any help is appreciated, and thanks for listening

not sure if this will help or if you did this but you could try to reinstall winterboard and disable everything before uninstalling it.

Thanks for the reply, but I just did a restore. It didn't take that long so it wasn't bad. I appreciate your reply tho.
