cracked screen on 3g!

anyone know about a replacement front screen for a 8gb 3g. Drop it and shattered the just the screen but iPhone still works great and every functions still works. I searches online and am finding screens for $200. I could buy a brand new phone for that. Any solutions on getting a screen for a lot cheaper ??

no you cant get brand new for 200 bucks.. To get it for this amount you have to be new customer.

Check eBay. I just got a new screen with digitizer for $70. Or you could spend a little more and send it here.

Before I get people responding, these claim to be glass. If they turn out not to be, sorry, you are only out 18 bucks. Seems like a risk I would be willing to take rather than pay 200. You can always go back and buy the one for 200 if you feel this one is crap. Hope this helps

If you know anyone with an old iphone that is jailbroken you can activate it on your account and that will make you eligible for another 3G at the $199/$299 pricing. After you get your new 3G the old iphone is no longer active and the person you bought it from can jailbreak it again, and you can sell your cracked 3G on ebay for $300-$400.

P.S. If you have someone that is willing to do this make sure they back up their iphone before they give it to you.

the 3G screen is alot cheaper to replace than the 2G screen, it's only around $60 on ebay for a new digitizer/glass
