iPhone won't sync at all....

Hi everybody, I just picked up a 2g iphone couple of days ago. I had itunes 8 already so i upgraded to 2.1 then jailbreak and unlocked using quickpwn 2.1. Now I have syncing problems. My itunes recognizes the phone but wont transfer over songs or vids or apps at all. Not sure what the problem is. i tried reinstalling itunes didnt work. i restored the iphone, didnt work. i did clean uninstall then reinstalled itunes(as if it was never installed before), didnt work. not sure what the problem is.

Hi I have got the same problem .I have Iphone 3g FW 2.1 after Jailbreak.Itunes 8.0 still says : Cant read your Iphone .U have got to make restore !
Priwies Itunes 7.7 says : Your Iphone needs new version of Itunes,make upgrade !
What shell i do now ??!!

hi im having a similar problem on a 2g iphone....i upgrade to 2.1 syncd all my songs and contacts...jailbroke with quickpwn then tried to add new music and ringtones and itunes sends my phone into a reboot in about 3 seconds.....i did my girlfriends phone updated to 2.1 and jailbroke it with quick pwna nd hers syncs no problem everytime...

so i was told to do a restore so i did went through the same steps it syncd all my new music and ringtones then i jailbroke with quickpwn and i went to add some new ringtones and it sent the phone into a reboot again.....ive been looking to fix this for a week or so now....b/c i dont want to restore everytime i want new music on my phone..plus i would like to sync to itunes once and a while to update my contacts on my computer....

if anyone can help i would appreciate it....thank you

After you restore you're setting up the phone as a NEW phone correct? If not restore and use that option.

yes...i always do set it up as a new phone...ive seen too many post where people have problems restoring from a back up.....i dont have much on my phone no app store apps...all my contacts are saved to outlook express .....and jailbreak apps include:

cydia
installer(which i dont use)
winterboard
bosstool
snapture
cycorder
ireboot
iblacklist

and my girlfriends phone is pretty much the same except she doesnt have iBlacklist and like i said above i can sync hers all day long no problems..and i jailbroke ours the same way ...thanks for the reply ...hopefully i can get this figured out

lol my thread was hijacked, anyways i solved my issue. turns out itunes uses some usb drivers that interferes with my hp printer for some reason. i just unplugged my printer usb cable and my phone started to sync.

what is jailbreak, I just purchased a iPhone 3G.I have been using palm products for over 10 years. I would appreciate any suggestions on how to sync my palm desktop with my iphone. When I plug my iphone in, iTunes doesn't open automatically, and I am sure I was told it would. When I open it manually and it is the lastest version, it does recognize my iPhone. However it won't allow me to drop and drag music etc onto the iphone, as I do with my nano.It is saturday and the helpdesk is closed, any suggestions???
