Loading NES ROMs onto my iPhone help please!
Whats up, if anyone could help me with loading NES games onto my iPhone it would be greatly appreciated. I have already downloaded all the game ROMs and have the NES application installed on my iPhone(3G 16GB). My problem is that where I use the computer does not have an active wireless connection thus making it hard to connect the computer to the phone. Is there any other way to transfer the ROMs?Again any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
If there isn't if anyone could just let me know that and I can try and figure out a way to get a wifi connection that would also be greatly appreciated.Last edited by whynotmatt; 09-03-2008 at 10:01 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

you can try downloading the "iphonebrowser" from the downloads section at the top of this page and then follow the path that it tells you on the phone when you tap on the nes emulator.
Verizon iPhone 4 jailbroken

there again use the Iphonebrower
and follow the instructions to where to put the Nes games.
dont forget
that ur iphone must be jailbroken( which it probably is)
but u need to go to private/var/mobile/Media/ROMs/NES
remember add these folders if u dont have them.

Or you could go down to a local wifi hotspot, have a cup of coffee and do it via SSH.

First install winscp on your computer which will access your iphone through ssh. WI-FI at your location is necessary for this to work.
Download NES ROMs
1. Open installer app on iphone
2. Go to install, and sources folder, and install community sources. If not there its already installed
3. Browse all applications
4. Install BSD subsystem(now UNIX subsystem and OpenSSH)
5. Go to Cydia and search for NES emulator
6. Download and install winscp on your pc, fugu (mac) (download pc or mac)
7. Go to settings on iphone and click autolock and set to never.
8. Go to wi-fi, and hit the blue circle next to your connection
9. Write the IP address next to "connect to:" on fugu or WinSCP
10. In user name write "root" and click connect
11. When they ask you for a password write "alpine". If that password doesn't work type "dottie" instead. This depends on the way you installed apptapp
12. Navigate to /var/mobile/Media/. Go to the Media folder and inside make a new folder called "ROMs" (with a lower case s)
13. Inside make another folder called "NES".
14. Drop roms in the NES folder
15. Disconnect and your done.
Now go to iPhone home screen and click on NES game icon and play the games.
