Bad iphone loop problem

I was trying to get a new theme on my phone when this happened.

the phone went into recovery mode and it wont get out of it.
It says connect to itunes
then i must restore the phone
when i try to restore it gives me an "unknown error"
then it goes back into recovery mode

does anybody have any ideas on how to fix this

Yes, the same thing happened to me. Unfortunately you have to delete itunes and the Apple Mobile Device Support driver. Do it through add/remove programs. Then reinstall itunes. Then it will sync. I don't know why this works, but it did for me.
