Unlocked iphone doesn't work overseas!

Hi all,
I'm currently in Asia on a trip. i was eager to try out my unlocked iphone here and sadly it doesn't work. I have an unlocked 1.1.2 (upgraded from 1.1.1) which I tried. The iphone didn't pick up the international sim card. I also tried downgrading the phone back to 1.1.1 and unlock it with the anysim 1.1 and that also didn't work. Iphone says that it detected a different sim card and should connect to iTunes. Does anyone have a solution?

possible 100% just install from iphone IWORLD from TWEAK 1.1.2 abd then install iworld and thern chose ur country and use it enjoyyyyyyyy

Sounds like the Iphone is not unlocked

If it's properly unlocked then it would NEVER state "Please connect to ITunes as your using a different SIM"

What week number is your Iphone (4+5 digits of alpha numeric serial number)

same thing happened to me
it is because of faulty imei

Is it still activated? You may need to reactivate it, perhaps, I dunno..

Have not been to china since i got my iPhone, so I'm not sure, but I would like to know for the 2008 Olympics this year!
