ibrick an OTB 1.1.2 without unlocking...

Hi,
I have an OTB 1.1.2 phone bought on Christmas eve. I don't need the phone unlocked. I just need it to be able to install third party apps. Can I downgrade it to 1.1.1, unlock it, install OKTOPREP and update to 1.1.2?

Hey Jedi,
I'm jailbreaking my otb 1.1.2 now and I'm having a problem. After I downgrade it to 1.1.1, ran installapp on jailbreakme.com, installed bsd and openssh, 0775 the anysim, ran anysim and anysim keep saying something like can't unlock must restart. Do you know how I can get around this? There was a message after reboot saying Waiting to Activate, this may take some time. Does the sim need to automatically activate the phone first for anysim to work? Thanks.

You can't run anysim on a OOB 1.1.2. Downgrade to 1.1.1, you'll get error 1015. use 1.1.2 jailbreak to boot phone, run oktoprep and then click upgrade on itunes.

Actually, I followed this guide it jailbroke the phone for me. It's pretty much what you said but with pictures.
