I've placed .mp3 files into the Library/Ringtones folder using iPhoneBrowser and have had no luck. I read that if using iPhoneBrowser you could use .mp3 files as ringtones opposed to .m4a/.m4r. The ringtones do not show up on my iPhone under the selectable ringtone list. Any help? Thanks.
Well if you want an easy way to put custom ringtones:
-MECCA patch (find it on installer or on downloads)
-m4r ringtones......"example .m4r" or "ringtone .m4r"
(notice the space between the name and the .m4r)
I dunno if it was Vista or what (major probs with Vista/iPhone - was only syncing music). I tried everything and am usually good with hack installations and the sort, but nothing was working for me. I'm downgrading to XP.
Anyways, I purchased iPhoneRingToneMaker for $15. Saved me stress so it was worth it haha. Has fade in/fade out and shuffle which is REAL nice too Overall very nice.
