Before you attempt to take apart your iPhone I would suggest you get a professional opinion regarding your problem. A comm board is not cheap, it cost about $150 and isn't very easy to replace either as it requires a little bit of soldering and its also kind of hard to open up the case.

i tried a million times to upgrade to 111 but cant because everytime i try to activate i have "no wifi" so i cant do a wireless activation. whenever i downgrade to 102 my wifi works, so i doubt that its the hardware. i upgraded to 112 just to see about the wifi thing and its still grayed out. i somehow managed to upgrade to 111 and managed to jailbreak without needing a wifi connection, but whats the point if i dont have wifi. if i cant SSH my phone then its pointless.

Yes, thanks for attempting once again to solve our problem, but there's does seem to be a large group of us for whom no tutorial will 'fix' our phones.

Off hand, do you know a site which explains how to fix the comm board and where to get one? Not that I've given up hope entirely yet, but....

updrage to 113 then try using instructions here http://www.ziphone.org/! just one click and your phone will be running just as new at 113!
