Iphone Tether Vista

hey -- my iphone is 1.1.4 and I was able to tether to my laptop using edge before the new firmware.. I was also on win xp.. now on vista. I have the iphone network.. and both the phone and puter can connectd.. but, local access only. Is there a comprehensive walkthrough for vista? I have open ssh installed and tiny proxy.
