Help with scyncing itues 7.3.2.6

hey guys

i think it must go without saying im awful at this stuff...ok heres my problem...i have already put songs on my iphone once...i decided i wanted to go back and put more on so i put it on the dock through usb and it wouldnt sync...i tried also just the cable straight to phone....still no go...this may be real simple for you guys but how do i sync the phone manually?? i disabled automatic updates (like other threads said) and ideas would be awesome.

ever find out? im in same boat as you..seems like this is becoming a bigger issue... sucks because i cant even just restore it...
