well everything looks fine, your files are in the right place and you are running everything correctly. Im rather stumped. you may try to do a restore, and jailbreak again? is one option. try holding down the power home longer that is another option. or maybe your holding them down too long? ... anyone else got ideas?

try ending AppleMobileDeviceService.exe i had the same problem then closed that and re-ran Jailbreak and it worked.

Yep, did a restore and got the update package zipped and did the whole thing again, No go.
Ended applemobile process, no go
I think maybe its the "hold power and home" part i must be screwing up? I generally hold it until the screen "plug in itunes" comes up
I am gonna give up soon

My first attempt I held the power until that screen came up and I got nothing. Second try I held the power combo for quite a while longer. Until after cmd window started moving.

ya i am doing the same - i get :
Looking for iPhone...
Sending More Files...
but the iphone no longer does the spinning status on the phone like it did prior to the restore... what's going on? I've tried multiple things including a clean phonedmg and then again w/ the "updated" jailbreak.zip and then once more with the iphoneinterface package zip file (osx.zip) in one of the forums here... nothings working. did apple prohibit the jailbreak??? I'm about to wip out my windows box and give it a try from there

I had the same problem in Vista. Worked on it for hours. Then I read an idea on another board by a user called Princess and tried it. IT WORKS!
I recreated the cphonedmg directory by first unzipping the original 1.0.0 restore file, the one that ends with 1A543a and adding the other files (iTunesMobileDevice.dll) and programs (Jailbreak and iphoneinterface) and ringtone files. Then I unzipped the new 1.0.1 restore image file, the one that ends with 1C25, into cphonedmg. It goes into the same place, and it works. Apparently they both have to be there. I don't know why.
Without changing anything else, I ran jailbreak and it worked immediately, no more waiting to boot the iPhone forever.
Let me know if you need any more explanation.

if that princess thingie dont work try letting it sit for about a minute at the booting phone until you know it aint going to boot. then close jailbreak and open it again and wait sometimes that will work.

Having the same problem in windows XP...this sucks! could it be our version of jailbreak not being compatable w/ the update?

I solved the problem. I simply changed the pc and took the one of my brother. Started from scrachting and repeatet the whole thing and voila...ITS ACTIVATED.
So maybe, when you have the possibilty to do the same as me, change the pc.

I got mine to work but i had to use the old restore file...the ones with the dmg's that end in 38 and 39 not 6 and 6. questions, pm me!

in order for jailbreak to work you cant use the c135 update or w/e you have to use the 1a4e3 of w/e not the new one

Edit: Nevermind thought I had a solution, turns out I was wrong.
