Thread: Question about restoring and moding

Default Question about restoring and moding
I've been reading the Windows Modding 101 and 102, and just had a simple question.

Since I will be putting a lot of files into the iphone, such as jailbreak, and everything else, and say I had to do something that required me taking my phone to Apple to get it repaired, can I simply plug it up to iTunes and do an iPhone restore to delete all of those files / programs / changes I did to the iPhone? Or do those core files stay on the iPhone no matter what?

I tried searching for this but didn't quite know exactly what to look for, so I didn't find an answer. Sorry!

mods will delete after a restore, i would do a restore before taking it back, or else they will

yeah, the restore clears everything. and not that they will restore it, they might find out its been modded and you could loose the warrenty

So are you saying that even if I do a restore they can find out that I've been modding it?

Nono, im saying that if you DO take it back and its modded.. they might take the warrenty away. if you do a restore they won't find out so you'll be good
