Thread: Background Troubles

    Default Background Troubles
I am new at this and kind of confused.

I'm trying to add a background without changing any of the icons or anything.

I know how to change the icons and all that stuff, but when it comes to trying to change the background it won't let me.

    I type in: cd /Applications/DemoApp.app

which is found in the modding your iphone 103 and it says it can't find it.

It also says the same for when I type in:

    2. type: cd /Applications/DemoApp.app
    3. type: putfile /Applications/DemoApp.app/icon.png
    4. type: cd /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app
    5. type: putfile /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/DisplayOrder.plist

    any of those.

Any suggestions as to why it's not working?

    Thank you so much :-)

since you are modding in windows i would recommend this program.

its a gui interface so you can drag and drop. Also have you run jailbreak at all first? If not then follow this guide:
    Get connected with Windows

I downloaded it but when I try to run it error reports come on saying that it encountered a problem and won't run.

I am not sure if you noticed but the problem might be not putting the / after you type in the .app location. Trying typing it in like below.

    2. type: cd /Applications/DemoApp.app/
    3. type: putfile /Applications/DemoApp.app/icon.png
    4. type: cd /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/
    5. type: putfile /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/DisplayOrder.plist

This is the way I had to type it in order to get it to find the folders.

    Hope this works for you.

Error reports are probably because you didnt do jailbreak before you used it or some times if you close out one of the processes that is running you may have to restart your computer i had the same thing happen to me.
