Please HELP!! Different SIM detected
Hi,
Sorry for reposting, but i did not receive any replies to my earlier post.
I keep getting this error when i put in my SIM Card (Non AT&T).
"Different SIM detected Please Connect to iTune"
When i put in the AT&T Sim, i get a message "Waiting for activation This may take some time" If i dismiss it takes me to the spingboard.
I activated using custom Activator v2.0. I did notice a mismatch ICCID error while doing that, but i double checked the ICCID an found it to be a match.
Any clue as to what i'm missing.
Many thanks!!

Lockdownd is only for software unlock and most current software unlocks (AnySIM 1.1 and 1.2.1) has lockdownd as part of it. You don't need it if you are using a SIM emulator.
Also be advised that some SIM emulators (like TurboSIM, if bought directly from Bladox) come blank and you will need to programme it using your original AT&T SIM that came with your iPhone. Instructions can be found here (http://iphone.simbunch.com/turbosim.php). Some sellers will sell TurboSIM's that come pre-programmed and the StealthSIM aslo comes pre-programmed. I'm not sure about the others.
cheers,

I have same problem with my 1.1.4 firmware. Sometime the unlocked iPhone prompted me with an emergency call interface to ask me to connect to iTunes to solve the problem. In the meantime, the phone can receive phone call and text message without any problem but not to place any new phone call and new text messenge. Reboot iPhone cannot fix the problem. I fix it with the following steps:
1. Power off the iPhone.
2. Pull out SIM card and power on the iPhone.
3. The iPhone works normally now.
4. Put the SIM card in.
5. Done.
