I used the Carnival program to mod my iPhone. I was up and running in five(5) minutes on a new out of the box 1.1.1 iPhone. I understand others created the hacks. Carnival brings them all together perfectly

I bricked my iPhone with the 1.1.1 upgrade and unlock, (I had 1.0.2 downgrade working for 2 weeks before attempting the upgrade yesterday), I was luckily able to get a new iPhone from Apple today. I was reluctant to try CARNAVAL and was comtemplating biting the bullet and signing a contract. But reading the various forums about how easy CARNAVAL was, I decided to try it...it jailbroke the OTB 1.1.1 iPhone amazingly easily and quickly. Thanks to the iPhone dev community for giving the rest of us a chance to enjoy our iPhones without being tied to AT&T!

Now, I just got to figure out how to install the apps I used to have.
