lil' beginner help

so i got my iphone two weeks ago and ive read quite alot on modding but im still confused.....

im happy with at&t service but when i activated i was of course updated to 1.1.1 since this firmware was out before i recieved the phone....

i would like to remain with at&t but i would also like to use 3rd party apps and the enormous pile of mp3s i have as ringtones ($2 yea ok apple)

basically is jailbreaking a potential for being bricked later or am i safe since i dont want to unlock because im with at&t

unlocking and modding are 2 different things I think alot of ppl here have been pretty safe with modding as far as bricking goes as well as unlockers. so in other words just do a lil reading and some more research and see if u really wanna go ahead and start modding and then go for it! God Luck!

and ur not unlocking so ull be fine

and how r u getting mp3 ringtones on ur iphone?
