Tethering iPhone with PC?

Does anybody have easy, straight-forward instructions on how to tether your iPhone (1.1.1) jailbroken with your PC to use EDGE if you have no Wi-Fi service? Please.

I'm not sure if it works with 1.1.1, but first get VNSea on your iPhone, and TightVNC on your computer. Set up a password in TightVNC, and open port 5900 on your router.

Make sure it can connect, than enter in the IP on that page into your iPhone along with the password.

I'm not positive that it'll work but give it a shot.
