SMS to multiple recipients
This is so basic, I can't understand for the life of me why we can't do it. I want to text more than one person the exact same message... and I can't do it. So far, that and not being able to cut and paste or copy are my biggest problems.

A firmware update will eventually fix that.

The G-Mail section needs to be updated:
G-Mail
Even though Apple has GMail listed as one of its supported 3rd party mail providers (even going so far as including their graphic when you try and set up a new account in Mail from the iPhone), GMail has issues. Every one of my Sent messages is showing up in my Inbox.
This can be fixed by going into mail settings, clicking on the account in question, going into advanced, then turning "Use recent mode" off.

Its publicly editable, though, you can edit it as well!

My number 1 complaint is the copy/paste/ect.. delima .. but that has been mentioned many times
My other main gripe is the fact that you cannot delete mp3's or photo's within the phones ... wtf .. how could they have possible forgot/not thought of that ...

I'd like to be able to
1. copy images from web-sites
2. play video from email attachments
3. change the privacy mode on txt messaging to not give the senders name
4. have realtime exchange mail vs. the current imap only setup
5. MMS
6. have landscape view for apps other than picture view and safari
7. have voice dial
8. to add security certificates to use SSL email
9. Cut/Copy/Paste
otherwise this phone rocks!

no copy and paste
no multimedia msgs with sms / sending or recieving
calc could have a little more options
flash would be great <- not apple's fault
setting custom sounds for alerts <- not sure what the hell is with that
ringtones and alerts not loud enough <- I keep my phone in my pocket
saving photos to the iphone photo library from sms and email
and the mail program is just pure crap
Other then that... I love this *****

Yes you can copy and paste..
use the magnifying glass...click on where you want to start...drag it to where you want your paragraph to end...dont let-go the magnifying glasses while you do this...tap it again with another finger...there, you just made a copy... open up notes, put your magnifying glasses and double tab..
you are now have a note that emailable.
here's the guide...for copy and paste.

You can set custom notification for SMS received, SMS sent, email received, lock, custom ringtones..etc...with iBrickr.
You can can MMS too... http://iphonefaq.org/archives/97158

that's a proof of concept video. it doesn't actually work yet...that video was not made by apple.

do you even own an iphone??
mms = native native native (no support)
custom alerts = native native native.... this is a default with 97.999999999999% of all phones no need to hack, no reason to hack
copy and paste = your just an idiot to point to the video that you did. The power of the Internet has consumed you.

Why are you so hostile?...relax dudeeeeee...if it doesnt allow you to do a certain things..try to find other ways around it instead of ********.
Both you and i and everyone else know that we can not ever have a perfect phone.

So...please relaxxxxx.

Wow noone complained about alerts about missed called, voicemail, missed SMS, low battery.
As well as no built in read sim contacts or read/write from other sim cards ( yes iSim does it , but as well its standard feature on many phones )
No brainer MMS...any phone with camera has it.
Also a ability to turn on/off edge, rather than 3rd party.
FLASH viewing as well.
Yes 3rd party apps do it, but is standard feature on even $40 phones
Also, why no photo categories, think they wanted but missed adding it.

The copy and paste would be nice, that's a good concept. and yeah... the iPhone simply lacks the most fundamental things.
