i've edited the SMS bubbles. they are "Balloon_1.png" not "bubble_1.png"

I've followed the directions to completely redo my home screen making it Gunmetal Redux Custom... however using the same method to add files using iphoneinterface with dos i replaced the battery .png 5-17.... but now my battery just doesn't show up at all on the charging screen... do i have to do something with the .DS_Store file that came with the battery images? Thanks for any help

i replaced my battery images like this:
cd /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/
putfile /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/BatteryBG_1.png
and just repeat the putfile command wiht increasing numbers till you hit BatteryBG_17.png

if that doesnt work i recomend either trying a different battery image or making sure your battery image isnt flawed in some way

the apple logo at start up is called "apple logo"?
tried to change with mod logo no good same old logo comes up
is the apple logo called app.png, or activate.png?

The little white lock icon (in Locked Screen) is in
/System/Library/CoreServices/Springboard.app/FSO_LockIcon.png
My first attempt is with a 20x20 pixels png image (RGB @72dpi), the second attempt is with a 58x20 pixels and this is what I do

i cannot figure out how to change homescreen wallpaper. I saw some post saying that by changing one icon image size, you can mod wallpaper but it sounds very temp. what's gona happen to the next page? Anyone know how to add/mod/ homescreen wallaper?

For now (until the other programs come to 2.0) you can do this:

If you have Cydia, download Winterboard, and then download the Winterboard default theme. Set the "default" theme. I have iPhoneList, so then I went to private/var/stash/Themes.85xlBO/default/Wallpaper.png (the numbers after Themes. will probably be different--just click on the different ones until you see the one named Default) and then I deleted the Wallpaper.png. I then replaced it with the image of my choice (named Wallpaper.png of course). Reboot the phone, and you have YOUR OWN WALLPAPER!!!

I've ssh'd into my iphone 3G and I'm looking for where some of my native icons are stored. I've made several Safari shortcuts to desktop and want to skin them. Where are those .png's located in the file system?

The App Store is located at /Applications/AppStore.app and Cydia is /Applications/Cydia.app

I have been trying to skin the favorites contacts and missed calls screen, but have had no success. i have upload theme into winterboard and when activated it appears to not have any affect. can someone please tell me what i am doing wrong or what i need to do. thanks in advance

I made new charge screen .pngs and even downloaded new ones. I ssh'd them into themes. Went in winterboard and nothing, the same green battery. Any help?
