I got a full refund and guess what... It still has a ******* scratch on... I don't know if apple are trying to take the piss. It's only a tiny tiny graze on the side and can only be seen if you proper inspect it. But it still is a piss take when I spend £530 on a phone.

Out of curiosity which color did you get? I'm ordering a white one on Friday. After seeing a lot about scratches I'm getting an Invisible Shield or BodyGuardz for the phone.

Just had possibly the worst iphone5 experience ever...
Woke up at midnight to pre-order. Iphone came with a bunch of dings and scratches. Drove, waited in line, exchanged it. Came home to find the replacement iphone5's 3.5mm audio out jack didnt work. Drove back, waited forever at the apple store, and they tried to replaced it with another iphone5 with dings and scratches on it. Caught that one when they gave it to me in the store and made them give me another new one.
So I'm currently now on my 4th iphone5, and I've owned it for a week.
