Default Is the 3G radio really power-hungry?
I stayed with my 2G phone forever, since I didn't see any advantage for me to go to a 3G phone- I didn't live where there was a 3G network, and had near-constant access to wifi. When the 3GS came out, I did jump, due primarily to greater RAM and a faster processor. Now I use the 3G network all the time and love the near-wifi speed, but the 3G chip seems really power-hungry. I've played around with push notifications, turning them off, etc., and I think I've narrowed it down to 3G. Can anyone confirm my impressions?

Yes 3G uses more power then edge. 3G at my work sucks so I leave it on edge all day and I still have 80% left after a day at work.
