Here we go then folks. Please note I'm no program writer, this is what I have worked out through trial and error. It works and the attached files are the correct settings, (inc. EDGE) for O2 UK. Full function on call forward, divert etc. and nice clean display that shows the carrier name.
1. Load into your phone, as per the guide, an original set of phone.strings, phone.plist and service.strings, (get these from page 2 on this discussion thanks to soandso).
2. With the original service.plist, from "soandso" amend to your requirements. O2 example listed below:-
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple Computer//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
<plist version="1.0">
<dict>
<key>id</key>
<string>com.apple.preferences.phone.services</string>
<key>items</key>
<array>
<dict>
<key>cell</key>
<string>PSGroupCell</string>
</dict>
<dict>
<key>action</key>
<string>dialNumber:</string>
<key>cell</key>
<string>PSTitleValueCell</string>
<key>label</key>
<string>Activate Voice Mail</string>
<key>value</key>
<string>1750</string>
</dict>
<dict>
<key>action</key>
<string>dialNumber:</string>
<key>cell</key>
<string>PSTitleValueCell</string>
<key>label</key>
<string>De-activate Voice Mail</string>
<key>value</key>
<string>1760</string>
</dict>
<dict>
<key>action</key>
<string>dialNumber:</string>
<key>cell</key>
<string>PSTitleValueCell</string>
<key>label</key>
<string>Directory Enquiries</string>
<key>value</key>
<string>118402</string>
</dict>
<dict>
<key>action</key>
<string>dialNumber:</string>
<key>cell</key>
<string>PSTitleValueCell</string>
<key>label</key>
<string>Traffic Information</string>
<key>value</key>
<string>1200</string>
</dict>
<dict>
<key>action</key>
<string>dialNumber:</string>
<key>cell</key>
<string>PSTitleValueCell</string>
<key>label</key>
<string>O2 Customer Support</string>
<key>value</key>
<string>202</string>
</dict>
<dict>
<key>cell</key>
<string>PSGroupCell</string>
</dict>
<dict>
<key>action</key>
<string>showMyAccount:</string>
<key>cell</key>
<string>PSButtonCell</string>
<key>label</key>
<string>My O2 Online</string>
<key>url</key>
<string>http://www.o2.co.uk/login?sendTo=http://www.o2.co.uk</string>
</dict>
</array>
<key>title</key>
<string>Services</string>
</dict>
</plist>
Note, this denotes the text that appears on the buttons and the numbers that will be dialed. The last section gives you the web page that saffari will display when you press "My ...... Online".
3. Upload as per the guide.
4. Download the "UnknownCarrier.plist" from this post and amend as follows:-
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple Computer//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
<plist version="1.0">
<dict>
<key>AllowEDGEEditing</key>
<true/>
<key>CarrierName</key>
<string> O2(THIS IS NAME OF YOUR CARRIER ONLY) </string>
<key>IntlDataRoamingSwitch</key>
<true/>
<key>ShowCallForwarding</key>
<true/>
<key>ShowCallForwarded</key>
<true/>
<key>ShowDialAssist</key>
<false/>
<key>SupportsNITZ</key>
<true/>
<key>VisualVoicemailServiceName</key>
<string>ACDS</string>
<key>apns</key>
<array>
<dict>
<key>apn</key>
<string>mobile.o2.co.uk</string>
<key>password</key>
<string>mobileweb</string>
<key>username</key>
<string>password</string>(EDGE SETTINGS HERE, TO FIX THAT LOST EDGE SETTINGS PROBLEM)
</dict>
<dict>
<key>apn</key>
<string>mobile.o2.co.uk</string>
<key>password</key>
<string>mobileweb</string>
<key>username</key>
<string>password</string>(EDGE SETTINGS HERE, TO FIX THAT LOST EDGE SETTINGS PROBLEM)
</dict>
</array>
<key>voicemail_context</key>
<integer>1</integer>
</dict>
</plist>
5. Upload to your phone in:-
/System/Library/Frameworks/CoreTelephony.framework/Support/UnknownCarrier.plist
(thanks to JDi)
An original may not be there, it wasn't in my phone.
6. Switch it Off and On, Let me know how you get on!

To send t-mobile files @chadsr
...like I did just click on reply (advanced) and then click on manage message attachments (additional options) then attach the files. You must zip them up first because the file name must be one of those listed (i.e ".zip")

I uploaded the T-Mobile settings from the zip file to my iPhone and when I go to Settings > Phone > T-Mobile Services all it shows is CARRIER_SERVICES at the top and then a button that says Carrier underneath it that doesn't do anything when tapped. Any help? I'm running 1.1.4 on T-Mobile. Thanks.
