Both AppTapp and Breezy don't work for me, AppTapp always says "Bootcamp failed, see contact log!" and Breezy just keeps closing by itself.
I really need help because I've been having really bad luck with unlocking my iPhone.
Seriously I'm in dire need of help here, I've tried everything and it's not even working, I've already had problems with iNdependence that took me a long time to work out, but I eventually did work them out. Now whenever I try to use AppTapp it just says after 5 seconds "Bootstrap failed, See Console Log!" and whenever I run Breezy as an alternative it just closes by itself when I put the iPhone into restore.

I got this question:
On step 2 of part 3:
You said install these apps in order:
BSD Subsystem - this will take a couple minutes.
But on the picture, i only saw "Community Sources" in there, so where were the other two? "BSD Sbusystem, and Open SSH"?
Where do i need to download them or is in the "community sources"?
Do i need to do this ( http://modmyi.com/wiki/index.php/Get...e_Modding_OS_X
before i use these 4 steps in this guide. Thanks
I am so sorry, I got one more question.
How do I put the t-mobile sim card into the iphone? Do i put the sim card in first or wait until i am done unlock the phone?

Wonderful walk-through! Thanks! The only thing I can't do is delete the unlock folder from my iphone - I keep getting a unspecified error message when I try to do that in cyberduck. Any ideas?
Thanks again! I'm so excited with my unlocked iphone. Like a little kid again...

Can I create a network using Airport in MacBook Pro and get my iPhone to connect to it ?

You don't need to what you linked to - just follow the guide.
Put the T-Mobile SIM in by popping out the SIM slot on top of your iPhone with a paper clip and... putting the SIM in.
The guide will instruct you when to place the SIM in.

I was able to install Community Services, but installing BSD Subsystem gives me a time out error. I tried installing with Breezy, but that doesn't work for some reason. Any help would be appreciated.

BSD Subsystem takes a few minutes to install. Make sure you don't let the screen go black during that.

I'm having the Bootstrap failed issue as well. Has anybody figured this one out? I can't make good sense of the posts.

I set it to never autolock, when I try to install BSD Subsystem it gives me an error message: Download Failed: Timed out! I have my Wi-Fi set up and everything it seems like it's an error on the server's part hosting the files.

I am using a mac and I get a boostrap failure at about 10 seconds into the AppTapp step....

Okay, I have followed the instructions exactly and now my iphone can act as a regular phone, but it won't let me get on the internet.
I.e. I try to load a webpage and this message pops up twice "Safari can't open the page because it can't find the server." Even though my wireless says its connected.
Please tell me i haven't corrupted anything!
Please help and thank you for the awesome guide!

I got stuck at Step 2 of unlock OS X Part 3. After I installed AppTapp and click the Installer icon on the iPhone with Wi-Fi, I did not see any apps Community Sources, BSD Subsystem, OpenSSH on my iPhone. At the bottom of my iPhone, it said 133.8 MB available not 101.4 MB available. Need help. Thanks.
09-19-2007, 12:17 PM #37My bootstrap issue...
The AppTapp bootstrap issue I was having was happening because, although I thought I had upgraded iTunes to 7.4, I was actually still on 7.3. So... I upgraded and then the instructions worked like a charm! Moral: check your iTunes version.
